24-02-2026: Tourism skills: getting this right matters

The European tourism sector faces a simple reality:
without the right skills, growth is not sustainable and innovation does not scale.
On Tuesday 24 February 2026, we are bringing together tourism leaders, policymakers, and educators in Brussels for the PANTOUR International Conference | Tourism Skills 2026–2036. The focus is practical: how Europe prepares its tourism workforce for the next decade.
The discussion will centre on:
• The European Tourism Skills Strategy Plan 2026–2036
• Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity strategies related to skills development
• The Sector Skills Intelligence Monitor (SSIM) being rolled out across Europe
• Concrete tools and applications demonstrated through the European Tourism Skills Lab
• New training programmes for key tourism subsectors
• The role of national and regional skills partnerships in implementation
This is not a general conference and not a showcase event. Expect more: Each session includes structured interaction with the audience, allowing participants to challenge assumptions, share experience, and contribute directly to the discussion.
The programme concludes with an open floor for a plenary idea-sharing session, followed by dedicated networking time over lunch that will be provided as part of the programme.
If tourism & hospitality skills development is part of your agenda, this conversation needs your input.
Registration is still open. Places are limited.
